We are delighted to announce that Blair is the latest in the lineup of high profile Vintage® endorsees, his first choice for live and recording is the extremely popular Vintage VE2000DLX Gordon Giltrap Deluxe electro-acoustic guitar.
Designed by Gordon Giltrap MBE, one of the world’s most creative acoustic guitar virtuosos himself, along with Rob Armstrong, a longstanding UK acoustic guitar luthier, this beautiful model features appointments rarely seen on an electro-acoustic offered at this price point.
“I’m touring with this guitar throughout the summer,” says Blair. “I actually collected it on route to a festival, I literally took it out of the case, tuned it to DADGAD and went straight on stage. It’s the ideal touring and studio guitar that’s extremely responsive whilst having a deep, rich tone.”
With a natural satin finish, high grade, figured mahogany back and sides, a solid spruce top, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, GraphTech compensated NuBone saddle and nut, gold plated Grover 102 machine heads and Fishman Rare Earth Blend pickup system, the Vintage VE2000DLX Gordon Giltrap Deluxe electro-acoustic guitar is indeed, the perfect platform to highlight Blair’s individual playing technique and distinctive vocal style.
“I had my first guitar lesson aged 6 and met Gordon Giltrap when I was 10, he’s been an inspiration for me ever since. We then got back in touch over the pandemic. Gordon convinced me to try out the Vintage and I was hooked. Its an honour to be working with Gordon and the guys at JHS”

“One of my own songs called ‘Spices From The East’ features a lot of harmonics, which can be tricky to perform, even on very expensive guitars, and yet they’re a breeze on this model”, Blair continues.
“I’ve kept busy during Covid-19, mainly writing songs for my new album, set for release next spring.
“I have to say, whilst this guitar performs exceptionally well live on stage and in the studio, it’s also a songwriter’s dream.
I really can’t get over how a guitar at this price point with so many great appointments that include (aside from superb tonewoods), contrasting body bindings, detailed stripe inlay running centrally through the back of the body, intricate inlaid abalone soundhole rosette and inlaid Giltrap initials at the 12th fret, can perform so well, all this in a luxury hardshell case as well.”
